| Now that we have done all of the Fade
outs, the image looks like this:

The edges of the 3 flower
images blend well into the background and into each other,
but the arrangement is not particularly artistic. We'll remedy
that by editing each flower image's Properties.
Use
the Pick tool to click on the first flower in the upper left
corner to make it active. Right click and choose Properties.
When the Properties box opens, choose Merge= Always, Transparency=15
and Soft edge=5.
Click
on the middle flower image to make it active. Right click
and choose Properties. When the Properties box opens, choose
Merge=Addition.
Click
on the third flower, in the lower right corner, to make it
active. Right click and choose Properties. When the Properties
box opens, choose Merge=Subtraction, Soft edge=5, Transparency=10.
Use
the Pick tool and the Order options in the Attributes toolbar
to change the stacking order of the 3 flower images. Stack
the first flower, in the upper left corner, behind the circular
fadeout middle flower. Stack the third flower, in the lower
right corner, behind the circular fadeout middle flower too.
Move the flowers around until you get an attractive arrangement,
then right click and Merge All.

Back to the Small Image
If you want to add a little
extra polish to the fadeout flower collage, add an Edge Frame.
In PI 5.0, the first 20 Edge Frames don't have the "border"
option associated with them that you're used to from PI 4.2.
If you want to apply one of the new edge frames to your
collage, just choose Web, Frame Designer, select an edge frame
and click OK. Below, I've used one of the older style edge
frames, for which you can select/deselect a colored border.
To use one of these edge frames without a colored border,
first select Edit, Expand. When the Expand box opens, Expand
10 pixels in all directions, canvas color black. Doing so
adds a little space around the edges of the image, so that
the Frame Designer doesn't take too much off the sides of
the image. Now choose Web, Frame Designer, Edge Frame Gallery.
By deselecting border, no color appears around the frame,
only the raggedy edges.
