Trial Version Technical FAQs
Currently, we are not providing technical support for the trial version of our products. However, you can go to our Web board and post questions, exchange ideas and answers and discuss solutions with other users of Ulead products.

Q:
I'm trying to download the trial version but it always fails. Why is that?
A:

Usually, we provide 3 or more download links on the download page. Please try all the links to garner a better download speed. If the product you are trying to download is newly released then there will be many other users trying to download it too. We can only suggest for you to keep trying and be patient. Also, we suggest that you use an ftp downloading program like Flash Get, which has a "resume" function to make the downloading process more successful.

Q:
I have downloaded the trial version but I cannot install it. What should I do?
A:

We can only suggest that you download the trial version again. Sometimes the downloading process might have not been completed because of Internet connection problems.

Q:
After installing the trial version, it expired even before the 15 or 30 days allotted for the trial period was reached. How can I continue to try it?
A:

We are sorry to tell you that you cannot continue to try the program unless you reinstall the Windows system or install it on another machine. Please do not try to change the system date and time to extend the trial period. It will cause the trial version to expire immediately.

Q:
I purchased the full version of the Ulead product after I used the trial version. But after I installed the full version and ran it, it still shows as a trial version. How can I start using the full version?
A:
Please uninstall both the full version and trial version completely then just install the full version. If you have problems uninstalling either the full or trial version, check the next question.
Q:
I can't uninstall the trial version. It always shows an error message and then stops. Why is this happening?
A:

Please reinstall the trial version again and then you might be able to uninstall it.
If you can't reinstall the trial version, please follow this procedure:

  • Select Program Files > InstallShield Installation Information.
  • Open the setup.ini file in each subfolder to find the trial version of your product.
  • When you find the trial version, delete the subfolder. You will be able to reinstall the trial version by removing and uninstalling it.
Q:
Will the trial version remove itself when it expires?
A:

No it does not, you need to remove it from Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
