DVD Workshop Helps Recruit College Students

Utilizing Ulead DVD Workshop, Pope Video Productions created an award-winning audio-visual experience for prospective students to Columbus State University in Georgia. Instead of seeing the same old recruiting techniques, these high school visitors will now be treated to a musical, fast-paced interactive Super Video CD (SVCD), geared toward their field of interest.

Hal S. Pope, one of the founders of Pope Video Productions, says, "Our university client loves the interactive aspects of the SVCD format."

Hal, together with DJ Johnson, began Pope Video Productions in 1992 as a solution for creating long form video multimedia and television commercials. Recently, they took home the award for Best of Show at the Southeastern Conference of Museums for a video created for the Columbus Museum. The Columbus Museum also commissioned Pope Video Productions to create a 50th anniversary tribute, which will be presented on SVCD.

Hal decided to use Ulead DVD Workshop as Pope Video Productions DVD authoring solution based on good reviews he read in trade journals.

"I don't have time to learn DVD authoring," says Hal, "DVD Workshop makes the authoring process easy. We like that."
