5th Graders Create Claymation Movies with GIF Animator

Alan Walker's 5th grade class is buzzing with activity. He has just explained to the Prosser Heights Elementary students that they must use Ulead GIF Animator to create a short animated film depicting their favorite part of a book.

Undaunted by what would sound to others like a difficult task, the students quickly and fearlessly gather in groups and get to work. Directors, producers and set designers in the making collaborate as teams on their creations. Each student takes on a variety of roles in the conception of their film.

"Ulead GIF Animator is very easy for students to use. This is the perfect educational tool," says Walker.

Clay begins to take shape as the main actor. Themes and sets come together in the form of construction paper, plastic boats, doll houses and other materials found in the classroom.

At last, the design is ready to be meticulously photographed. Each movement of the main clay object is captured on the Web cam click by click on the classroom computer.

Ulead GIF Animator is then opened up. Photos are quickly imported, and within minutes, the students have a completed project ready for viewing, and, the immediate satisfaction of a job well done.

"Ulead GIF Animator makes animating unbelievably simple," asserts Walker.
